In memory of Charlie Kirk<\/span><\/b><\/p>

The loss of Charlie Kirk is now honored each year on October 14 as the National Day of Remembrance for Charlie Kirk.<\/span><\/p>

I see Charlie as a modern-day figure of basic truths, not as a far-right activist, his beliefs are centered on basic Christianity and constitutional truths of our Founding Fathers. He stepped onto campuses and into public forums where his message was often unwelcome, yet he stood firm for what is missing in many universities today: freedom of religion, freedom of speech, freedom of the press, freedom of assembly, and the right to petition.<\/span><\/p>

Too often, higher education promotes only one side of the conversation. Charlie challenged that. I encourage you to hear his words directly: watch his videos, listen to his debates, and consider his heart and reasoning for yourself rather than relying on secondhand opinions.<\/span><\/p>

God gives us our rights, not man. Our Founding Fathers understood this. They fled oppression and built a nation on truths greater than themselves. Even our currency proclaims it: In God We Trust.<\/i><\/span><\/p>

Charlie lived Isaiah 6:8 \u2014 \u201cThen I heard the voice of the Lord saying, \u2018Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?\u2019 And I said, \u2018Here am I. Send me!\u2019\u201d<\/i>
He answered that call with courage, entering the marketplace of ideas and inviting each of us to do the same.<\/span><\/p>

In these difficult days, Jesus\u2019 words steady us:
\u201cLove your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, that you may be children of your Father in heaven\u2026 He causes his sun to rise on the evil and the good\u201d<\/i> (Matthew 5:44-45).
And Paul reminds us: \u201cBe kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you\u201d<\/i> (Ephesians 4:32).<\/span><\/p>

On September 25, 2025, thousands gathered at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona, for Charlie\u2019s memorial. There, Erika Kirk modeled remarkable grace, forgiving her husband\u2019s assassin live on national television. It was a must-see display of honor to God, an act of obedience flowing from deep trust in His sovereign decisions. As Scripture reminds us, \u201cVengeance is Mine; I will repay, says the Lord\u201d<\/i> (Romans 12:19; cf. Deuteronomy 32:35). By leaving ultimate justice in God\u2019s hands, Erika offered a powerful testimony of God\u2019s love and His perfect, future judgment, showing the watching world that true forgiveness rests in confidence that He alone makes all things right. Her example echoes the words of Martin Luther King Jr.: \u201cDarkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that.\u201d<\/i> <\/span><\/p>

May we honor Charlie\u2019s life not with bitterness but through open dialogue \u2014 listening well, speaking truth in love, and extending forgiveness.
Love listens. Love forgives. In the light of God words there is hope, and a way forward.<\/span><\/p>
